Beyond Our Walls

The KV Foundation was never added to the House.

It was built into its foundation.

From the beginning, we believed that care does not end at our own doorstep. Every conviction that shaped MAISON DE VAVA—attention, hospitality, craftsmanship, stewardship, and generosity—pointed beyond the House itself.

The House was built so that, as it flourishes, others might flourish also.

In this way, the work of The KV Foundation is not separate from MAISON DE VAVA, but one of the ways the House fulfills the purpose for which it was built.

Care, Extended

A home is never an end in itself.

Its purpose is to strengthen the lives that pass through it and to extend that same care into the world beyond its walls.

For this reason, The KV Foundation has always been part of MAISON DE VAVA.

Not as an expression of success.
Not as an obligation.
Not as a gesture of charity.

But as one more expression of the House itself.

Through The KV Foundation, a portion of what grows from MAISON DE VAVA will be directed beyond our own walls, toward work that allows care to continue elsewhere.

Generosity, like every other expression of the House, is guided by discernment rather than impulse.

These commitments do not determine every decision we make. They help us discern which opportunities belong to the House and which do not.

As The KV Foundation grows, the particular organizations, projects, and needs we support may change. These commitments will remain.

Giving With Intention

We believe that generosity deserves the same attention we bring to everything else within the House.

We want to understand where our support is going, why it matters, and what it makes possible. The organizations and initiatives we support will be chosen thoughtfully, with attention to the work being done and the lives and communities it serves.

Over time, we will share the work The KV Foundation supports and the stories behind those choices.

Not to make generosity visible for its own sake, but because we believe there is value in remaining connected to where care travels and what it makes possible.

Generosity is not measured only by the amount that is given.

It is measured by the willingness to let care continue beyond ourselves.

Every healthy home allows its care to travel beyond its own walls.
